Rain likely at many places across the country

DHAKA, Sept 28, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted that rain or thundershowers may occur at many parts of the
country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and
Barishal divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Chattogram and
Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country”,
said a BMD weather bulletin issued here today.

“Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak elsewhere over North
Bay”, it added.

However, the day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may
remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 34.8 degrees Celsius in
Sitakunda under Chattogram division, while today’s minimum temperature was
23.2 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur under Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 5:49 pm today and rises at 5:49 am tomorrow in the
capital.
