DHAKA, Sept 26, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka District Administration today sealed off the Fu-Wang Club here as the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered huge cash and illegal liquor conducting a 12-hour raid.
“Taka seven lakhs, 2,000 bottles of foreign liquor, 10,000 cans of locally-produced beer were recovered from there . . . RAB personnel also detained three people – – Jahid, Javier Jerry De Costa and Chanchal in this connection.” Senior ASP Md Mizanur Rahman of the RAB Media and Legal Wing told BSS.
Executive Magistrate Md Abdul Al Mamun and Nizam Uddin led the drive in presence of RAB personnel at the FU-Wang Club for about 12 hours since Wednesday midnight as part of the ongoing crackdown against grafts, misdeeds and illegal casino business.
The anti-crime elite force and police, since September 18, raided different clubs in the capital and elsewhere across the country, busting illegal casinos.
