AL’s seminar on Rohingyas in city tomorrow
DHAKA, Sept 25, 2019 (BSS) – The Forest and Environment Sub-Committee of ruling Awami League (AL) will hold a seminar titled ‘Rohingya People: Bangladesh in Multiple Crisis’ at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on Dhaka University campus in the city tomorrow.
AL Presidium Member Begum Matia Chowdhury will address the seminar as the chief guest at 11 am with AL Advisory Council Member and Forest and Environment Sub-Committee Chairman Professor Dr Khondkar Bazlul Haque in the chair, said a press release here today.
Noted journalist Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and environmentalist Professor Nazrul Islam, former governor of Bangladesh Bank (BB) Professor Dr Atiur Rahman, DU Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad, security analyst major general (Rted) Mohammad Ali Shikder, Professor of DU International Relations Department Dr Delwar Hossain and Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) Director General Zafar Wazed will take part as discussants in the seminar.
Architect Iqbal Habib will present a keynote paper in the seminar.
AL Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain urged all concerned to join the seminar.
