Indian navy chief calls on Bangladesh army chief
DHAKA, Sept 22, 2019 (BSS) – Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh today
called on Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed at Army
Headquarter at Dhaka Cantonment.
During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and the chief of Army Staff
cordially thanked Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh for visiting
Bangladesh, said a press release.
They also discussed issues of bilateral interest and expressed hope of
continuing their mutual co-operation to strengthen the existing relationship
between Bangladesh and Indian defence forces.
Earlier in the morning, the chief of the Indian Navy placed wreaths at
Shikha Anirban (the eternal flame) in Dhaka Cantonment and paid homage to the
memory of the Armed Forces members martyred during the Liberation War.
