PIROJPUR, Sept 21, 2019 (BSS) – Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim today said there is no substitute to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the country’s development since Bangladesh has already been emerged as a wonder of development in the globe under her charismatic leadership.
“The whole world is recognizing the development pace in Bangladesh and charismatic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
The minister came up with the remarks while inaugurating ferry movement on the banks of Sandhya River here today.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Swarupkathi Sarker Abdullah Al Mamun presided over the inaugural function that was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Pirojpur Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain, distinct unit Awami League General Secretary Abdul Hakim and upazila unit AL General Secretary SM Fuad, among others.
Noting that the communication system is the main hindrance to the country’s overall development, Rezaul said daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has created a communication network attaching importance to the communication network.
Referring to different development projects taken by the government, the minister said the construction work of a bridge on the Sandhya River will begin soon and that will connect Bangabandhu’s birth place Gopalganj with Pirojpur.
The bridge will be built at a cost of Taka 1,500 crore, he added.
