3 matches of Premier Div. Kabaddi decided in opener
DHAKA, Sept. 21 2019 (BSS) – Three matches of the 16th Premier Division Kabaddi League were decided on the opening day (Saturday) at kabaddi stadium in the city.
In the opening day’s matches, Bangladesh Navy beat Star Sports by 72-24 point, Bangladesh Police defeated Matuail Milon Smrity Sangsad by 91-31 points and Bangladesh Army outclassed Institute of Kabaddi by 87-23 points.
Earlier, Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) vice president and treasurer of International Kabaddi Federation freedom fighter Amir Hossain Patowari formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
BKF treasurer and tournament committee’s member secretary M Abdul Haque presided over the opening ceremony.
A total of fifteen teams, split into two groups, will compete in the league. The participating teams:
Group A – Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Fire Service, Azad Sporting Club, Shaheed Mozaffar Smrity Sangsad, Matuail Milon Smrity Sangsad and Star Sports.
Group B – Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jail, Dhaka Wanderers Club, Maniknagar Kabaddi Club, Institute of Kabaddi and South Bangla.
