56 held in anti-drug drive at Jatrabari
DHAKA, May 28, 2018 (BSS) – Police today in an anti-drug drive in Dholpur
City Palli, believed to be a one of the big hubs of drug trading, arrested 56
persons on charges of taking and selling drugs and recovered different
contraband drugs from their possessions.
“We, in a three-hour long drive from 10 this morning in one of the largest
slum Dholpur City Palli under Jatrabari Police Station, arrested 56 persons
and seized 6500 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, 10 kilograms of cannabis,
45 bottles of phensidyl, 1450 puria of heroin from their possessions,” said a
DB official today.
A joint team of Detective Branch (DB) of police, Special Armed Forces and
dog squad conducted the three-hour long drive from 10am today.
Legal action was taken to this end.
