3 cases filed against Jubo League leader Khaled
DHAKA, Sept 19, 2019 (BSS) – Three separate cases have been filed against Jubo League Dhaka South unit Organising Secretary Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan on charge of operating illegal gambling rings or casinos in the capital.
“Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has filed the separate three cases against Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan with Gulshan and Motijheel police stations under laws relating to firearms, drugs and money laundering,” Senior Assistant Director of RAB’s Legal Aid and Media Wing and Senior ASP Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan told BSS today.
Khaled, however, was handed over to the Gulshan Police Station this afternoon after interrogation, he said. Earlier, RAB arrested Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan on Wednesday evening from his Gulshan residence for reportedly running an illegal casino in the city’s Fakirerpool area.
RAB seized three firearms, six rounds of bullet, one shotgun, yaba pills and Taka 10.34 lakh and foreign currency worth of Taka five to six lakh from the possession of Khalid during the drive.
