IM Shakil splits point in 8th round in GM Chess
DHAKA, Sept 18, 2019 (BSS)- IM Shakil split point with Goel Pratyaksh of
India in the 8th round games of 1st Lake City International Open Grandmaster
Chess tournament now being held at Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
IM Abu Sufian Shakil along with FM Mehdi Hasan and Md Abzir Rahman
secured 5.5 points each
GM Ziaur Rahman, Tajsin Tajwar Zia and Md Zahid Choudhury earned five
points each. Swarnavo Choudhury earned 4.5 points, Nayem Haque and Zia Uddin
earned four points apiece, Abul Kashem earned 3.5 points, Mohammad Salman
Munshi and Abdullah Al Raison secured three points apiece and M Masum Rahi
and Tasmin Sultana bagged 2.5 points each after the 8th round games.
In the day’s 8th round games held today (Wednesday), IM Shakil split
point with Goel Pratyaksh of India, FM Parag beat Vaibhav Jayant Raut of
India, Abzid beat IM Sobh Amrou of Egypt, Zahid beat Chandrajeet Singh
Rajawat of India, Nayem drew with Gautam Kataria of India, Zia Uddin split
point with with Cera Dagaria of India, Masum split point with Rudra Jaiswara
of India, GM Zia lost to Pranav Shetty of India, Tahsin lost to GM Swapnnil S
Dhopafe of India and Swarnavo lost to Chilukuri Sai Varshith of India.
