DHAKA, Sept 18, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed

the next year.

“We would not let the city be like this year…Proper steps to be taken,
so that we can save the citizens from dengue,” he said at a press briefing at
Nagar Bhaban after returning from Singapore.

He said the dengue situation is now under control.

The DSCC mayor went to Singapore on September 8 to acquire information
and enrich his knowledge ahead of launching the “Communicable Disease Control
and Research Department”, as part of a five-year plan taken by the DSCC for
controlling different communicable diseases including Aedes mosquitoes.

The government of Singapore agreed to maintain a long term relation with
Environment Ministry, Health ministry and Health Institute of both the
countries by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), he said.
