Try to motivate girls for next match; Choton

DHAKA, Sept 18, 2019 (BSS) Bangladesh U-16 women’s football team head
coach Golam Robanni Choton said the players are morally down after the
massive defeat against Japan and his main task would be to motivate the girls
over the next two days ahead of the their last match against Australia slated
for September 21.

He was speaking at a post match press conference today (Wednesday) at
Chonburi Stadium in Thailand after losing 9-0 to Japan in their second group
match.

“As I said it was tough tournament for us but we qualified in the super
eight for the second time which is clear visible that the team has gained
some improvement … the girls played well against Thailand in the first
match but failed to perform up to their mark against Japan which they should
play … I hope they will take lessons from it and will play more good
football in the future,” said Choton.

“It was seemed to me that the girls were a little bit tired before the
day’s match against Japan as they gave their maximum efforts against Thailand
…..I think it caused the day’s major defeat against Japan,” Choton said to
the questioner.
