Brothers beat Ctg Abahani 2-1 in U-18 Football
DHAKA, Sept 17, 2019 (BSS)- Brothers Union Club registered a 2-1 goal
victory over Chittagong Abahani Limited in the U-18 Football tournament held
on Tuesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Ashik opened an account for Brothers Union in the
26th minute while after the lemon break Habibur doubled the lead in the 55th
minute.
Fahim however pulled one back for the port city team Chittagong Abahani
Limited into the 81st minute of the match.
The all orange Gopibagh ‘outfit’ dominated the proceeding and notched
their deserving victory while Chittagong spoiled some scoring chances in the
second half.
Meanwhile, Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will lock horn their arch
rival Abahani Limited in the Wednesday’s vital match at 4 pm while Arambagh
Krira Sangha face Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at 6.30 pm in their respective
group last matches at the same venue.
