Yeasin expects best from boys in SAFF U-18 Championship

DHAKA, Sept 17, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh U-18 national football team captain Yeasin Arafat urged his boys to contribute to their true ability to snatch a good result from the SAFF U-18 Championship.

The Bangladesh national U-18 soccer team, led by Yeasin Arafat, leaves for Nepal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to take part in the SAFF U-18 Championship scheduled to be held on September 20-29 in Nepal.

“If each player are able to give their best from their own position then a good result is possible to come in our favor,” said the Bangladesh U-18 captain at a pre departure press conference held on Tuesday at conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation Bhaban.

We had a good preparation for the championship and boys are well prepared to do something good … we’ll give out best effort in order to snatch good result, said Yeasin.

Team’s manager Amer Khan said the team played some preparation matches and the local coaches always looked after the team. Though the group is not so easy but the way the coach trained up the team. It might bring a good result.

U-18 team’s head coach Andrew Peter Turner said it’s a tournament they are really looking forward and his team has worked hard work for the meet.

Bangladesh, the runners-up of the previous edition in 2017, will kick off their campaign against Sri Lanka on September 21 before playing against India on September 25.

Holders Nepal will face Pakistan in the inaugural game slated for September 20.

The group round matches will conclude on September 25 after which the top two sides from each group will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled for September 27.

The final will be held on September 29. All the matches will be held at APF Stadium in Katmandu.
