Bangladesh U23 team leaves country for India today

DHAKA, September 17, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Under-23 team leaves country on Tuesday for India to play a five-match one-day series against Indian U23 team.

All of the matches will be held in Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium. The matches are on September 19, 21, 23, 25 and 27.

The tour is Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) part of plan for engaging all aged level players to some sort cricket all the year round.

Earlier in July, a BCB XI team, led by Mominul Haque visited India to take part in Dr. (capt) K Thimmapiah Memorial tournament, known as Mini Ranji Trophy. The BCB XI moved to the semifinal of that tournament.

The players’ performance will be under scrutiny in this series, a BCB official said.

The board has already announced 15-member team, led by Saif Hasan.
