Momen asks Sylhet paura mayors to formulate dev projects
DHAKA, Sept 15, 2019 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen today
asked Sylhet paurashava (municipality) mayors to formulate development
projects and submit to concern ministries and divisions for ensuring
sustainable development of the north eastern division.
The minister made the directive while holding a meeting with municipal
mayors of Sylhet division at the conference room of foreign ministry here.
Momen, who was elected as member of parliament from Sylhet-1
constituency, inquired about progress of various ongoing development projects
of the division.
Mentioning that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is relentlessly working to
turn Bangladesh into a developed country by 2041, the minister urged
cooperation from all peoples representatives of Sylhet division to realise
the premier’s dream.
Municipal mayors Nizam Uddin of Kanaighat, Kamran Chowdhury of
Borolekha, Jewel Ahmed of Komolganj, Abdus Shukur of Beanibazar, Aminul Islam
of Golabganj, M Shafi Alam Yunus of Kulaura and M Fazlur Rahman of
Moulvibazar attended the meeting.
