BUP Int’l Model United Nations conference held in city
DHAKA, Sept 15, 2019 (BSS) – The closing ceremony of a three-day long conference titled “BUP International Model United Nations Conference 2019” was held at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) auditorium in the city yesterday.
The main theme of the conference was ‘Combating Post Humanitarian Crisis and Ensuring Sustainable Initiative for Repatriation’.
It was organized by Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies of BUP and its Global Affairs Council in cooperation with Unilever Bangladesh, a press release said here today.
The conference was conducted by BUP Global Affairs Council.
Former Foreign Secretary M Touhid Hossain was present as the chief guest while Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUP Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder was present as the special guest on the occasion.
The conference ended with the vote of thanks by the Dean of the Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies Brigadier General M Siddiqul Alam Sikder.
About 400 representatives from various schools, colleges and universities of Bangladesh and from 25 different countries participated in the programme.
Besides, BUP high officials, representative from different universities, invited guests, teachers, officers and students also attended the ceremony.
