Drug peddler arrested with 20,000 Yaba tablets in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Sept 14, 2019 (BSS) – Police in a raid arrested a drug peddler
along with huge contraband Yaba tablets in Dewanganj Upazila of the district
this morning.
The drug peddler was identified as Siam, 27, son of Shahadat Hossain at
village Patharerchar in Dewanganj Upazila of the district.
Police said Siam was carrying the Yaba tablets by a CNG-run-auto rickshaw
from Sanandarbari area in Dewanganj Upazila to Bakshiganj Upazila of the
district.
Acting on a tip off, police raided the auto-rickshaw at Taratia village in
Dewanganj Upazila and arrested Siam at 11:30 am. Later, police recovered 20
thousand pieces of Yaba tablets from the auto-rickshaw.
A case was registered with Dewanganj police station in this regard.
