RCC to build Bangabandhu’s mural in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Sept 14, 2019 (BSS)- Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) will build an ever largest mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman here for inspiring the people in general to know about the life and works of founding father of the country.

” All the people should know about the life and works of Bangabandhu to materialize his dream of building a Sonar Bangla (golden Bangladesh)”, city mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said while inaugurating the construction works of the mural here today.

Commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Hamidul Haque, Zila Parishad Chairman Muhammad Ali Sarker, RCC Panel Mayors Shariful Islam and Tahera Khatun and Chief Engineer Ashraful Haque were present on the occasion.

Mayor Liton said the name of Bangabandhu could not be deleted from the people’s mind till Bangladesh exists.

Recalling the greatest contribution of Bangabandhu for independence of Bangladesh, he mentioned that the killers of Bangabandhu and his family members will not go unpunished.

He said all the fugitive convicts would l be brought back to the country and executed on this soil so that none can dare to commit such types of heinous crimes.

Liton said all people irrespective of political affiliation must follow the ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as he liberated the country for all.

The mural will be constructed at C&B Crossing area with an attractive look in the city at a cost of around Taka five crore.
