DHAKA, Sept 13, 2019 (BSS) – Digital Device and Innovation Expo-2019, said
to be the largest information technology exhibition in country’s history, is
going to start from October 14.
ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park authority Idea Project, a2i and
Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) are going to organise the three-day expo for
the first time.
Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser
Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed is likely to inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today addressed a press
conference at Janata Tower Software Technology Park, Kawran Bazar, saying the
exposition with slogan “Made in Bangladesh” will give emphases on exploring
the innovation of students.
“There will be a separate zone for local organisations who are
manufacturing technological products. Digital Bangladesh is not a dream now,
it is reality. We all are enjoying the facilities of Digital Bangladesh. We
are also advancing towards the road of development,” he added.
The doors of the exposition will open at 10am and will close at 8pm at
Bangabandhu International Conference Center. The organisers said although the
entree to the expo is totally free, but the visitors are needed to register
online or take help of spot registration to enjoy the exhibition.
Managing Director of Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum (NDC) and
Director of Idea Project Syed Mojibul Haque were present at the press
briefing where power point presentation on the expo was given by BCS
president Md Shahid-Ul-Munir.
