Drugs recovered in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ Sept 13, 2019 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)
recovered 4,000 Yaba tablets and 130 bottles of Phensidyl in two separate
drives early this morning.

Commanding Officer (CO) of 53 battalion of BGB Lieutenant Colonnel Md.
Mahbubur Rahman Khan said, acting on secret information, a team of BGB from
Monakasha border outpost (BOP) conducted an anti-drug drive at frontier
Gangarampur village under Durlavpur union of Shibganj upazila in
Chapainawabganj district around 5:30am and recovered 130 bottles of Phensidyl
in an abandoned condition.

In another team of BGB from Wahedpur BOP conducted a drive at Shialpara
under Panka union of Shibganj upazila of the district around 9:30am and
recovered 4,000 Yaba tablets.

But none could be arrested in the aforesaid drives.
