Bangabandhu corner set up at advocates bar library

RAJSHAHI, Sept 12, 2019 (BSS) – Rajshahi Advocates Bar Association today
set up Bangabandhu corner in its Library building here aiming to project the
life and works of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to
members of the Bar and the public in general.

Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton opened the
corner as the chief guest.

Bar President Lokeman Ali and its General Secretary Ekramul Haque and
Member of Bangladesh Bar Council Advocate Yeahiya were present on the
occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Liton urged the lawyers to know the life and
works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to materialize the dream of
Bangabandhu.

“The legal practitioners must follow the ideals of Bangabandhu for
becoming patriotic citizens of the country,” the mayor said, adding that they
should also listen to the March 7 speech of Bangabandhu minutely.

Bangladesh emerged as an independent country in 1971 under the dynamic and
farsighted leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Liton said.

All the fugitive convicts will be brought back to the country for executing
the verdict given by the country’s apex court so that none can dare to commit
such types of heinous crimes, the mayor added.

The corner has been enriched with portraits of Bangabandhu and four
national leaders, historic speech of March 7, and more than 200 books on the
life and works of Bangabandhu.
