Following traffic laws stressed to stop road accidents

RANGPUR, Sept 12, 2019 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) officials
today called upon vehicle drivers to sincerely follow traffic laws and rules
for stopping road accidents.

“Following traffic rules by vehicle drivers and people are crucial in
preventing road accidents,” said Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters) of
RpMP Mahidul Islam while distributing leaflets on traffic awareness among
vehicle drivers and passengers at the Central Bus Terminal point in the city.

The RpMP has been conducting various awareness raising activities on
traffic rules since September 9 in the city in observance of the weeklong
Traffic Awareness Week-2019 before celebration of its first founding
anniversary on September 15 next.

Assistant Police Commissioner (Traffic Division) of RpMP Farhad Imrul
Kayes, Traffic-in-Charge (North) Inspector Delwar Hossain, Traffic-in-Charge
(South) Inspector Belal Hossain and Vice-president of District Motor Sramik
Union Tomiz Uddin Tomez, among others, addressed the occasion.

Mahidul Islam laid emphasis on creating awareness among the people for
stopping road accidents.
