DHAKA, Sept 12, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 87 people in the capital in separate anti-drug raids in the past 24 hours.
Police have recovered 1,392 yaba tablets, 157.278 grams of heroin, 26.200 kilograms of ganja, five bottles of phensedyl, 12 liters of local wine and 144 cans of beer from their possessions, said a DMP press release today.
Teams of different police stations and detective branch conducted the drives from 6am of September 11 to 6am today in the capital.
A total of 57 cases were lodged with concerned police stations.
