RpMP providing quicker legal services to people: Alim

RANGPUR, Sept 9, 2019 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) is
working sincerely with utmost professionalism to ensure safety of common
people and provide faster legal services.

RpMP Commissioner Md. Abdul Alim Mahmud made the comments while
inaugurating the weeklong Traffic Awareness Week-2019 as part of observance
of the first founding anniversary of RpMP at a function held at Medical
Crossing point as the chief guest.

The week is being observed aiming at increasing public awareness about
traffic rules and laws and tendency of common people and drivers to abide by
those laws to reduce road accidents and human casualties to zero level in the
metropolitan city.

Alim said RpMP has launched the modern digitised e-trafficking prosecution
system enabling traffic rules violator clients to deposit fined money soon
after recording cases relating to violation of traffic rules and regulations
through e-trafficking prosecution.

The traffic rules violator clients are now easily depositing their fined
money through U-cash at different points and booths in the city in a
completely hassle-free manner.

“We launched the new system in only 25 days since inception of RpMP on
September 15 last year,” Alim said adding that the system has reduced
sufferings and saved times of clients.

The RpMP Commissioner also called upon all people to extend their all-out
cooperation in eliminating social curses like drug abuse, terrorism and
militancy to build a peaceful Rangpur metropolitan city.

Additional Commissioner Md. Abu Sufian of RpMP, Deputy Police Commissioner
(Headquarters) Mahidul Islam and senior police officials, among others,
attended the function.
