Know about Bangabandhu’s political philosophy: Speaker
DHAKA, Sept 9, 2019 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin
Chaudhury today urged members of parliament to get acquainted with
Bangabandhu’s thoughts and philosophy regarding the state.
“The Jatiya Sangsad Library conserves the records of Bangabandhu’s speeches
along with more than 85,000 books and research papers”, Shirin said urging
parliament members to utilise the JS library to know more about Bangabandhu’s
philosophy, said a press release issued today.
She made the remarks while inaugurating the three-day notifying workshop on
‘Information and Technology, Library and Research service for the Members of
the Parliament’ at the JS Bhaban.
She also said that the members of parliament can use the recently published
book on the answers given by the Prime Minister from the parliamentary Q/A
session held every Wednesday as a reference, added the release.
Dr Shirin hoped that the workshop will be helpful to new members of
parliament.
She urged the members to enrich themselves with technological knowledge and
Bangabandhu’s ideology and philosophy.
The programme was presided over by JS senior secretary Dr Jafar Ahmed Khan.
Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury, Whip Md Atiur Rahman Atik, Iqbalur Rahim,
Panchanan Bishwash and Abu Sayeed Mahmud al Swapan were also present, among
others, in the programme.
