DHAKA, Sep 5, 2019 (BSS) – A woman pedestrian was killed and a man received serious injuries as a passengers bus hit them while crossing a road at Banani-Chairman Bari area here this morning, police and hospital sources said.
Afzal Hossen, a sub-inspector of Banani Police Station, told BSS that Farhana Akhter, 24, died on the spot and one Mostafa was injured as a vehicle of ‘Cantonment Bus Service’ rammed into them while crossing the road at Banani area at about 9 am.
The body was sent to Kurmitola General Hospital while Mostafa is undergoing treatment there, he said.
Police seized the killer bus and its driver managed to escape away, Afzal added.
A case was filed in this connection with Banani police station.
