US Bangla cabin crew detained with 10kg gold at HSIA
DHAKA, Sep 5, 2019 (BSS) – Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBN) today detained a cabin crew of US Bangla Airlines in procession of 82 gold bars weighing 10 kilograms (kg) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here.
The detainee was identified as Rokeya Sheikh Moushumi, 24.
“We recovered the gold bars hidden inside her body from the green channel area around 11am. The estimated cost of the seized gold is Taka 5 crore,” APBN Additional Superintendent of Police (operations and media) Alamgir Hossain Shimul told BSS.
Legal actions have been taken in this regard, he added.
