BOGURA, Sept 5, 2019 (BSS) – Four persons were killed and two others
injured in two separate road accidents at College Road area on Dhaka-Bogura
highway in Sherpur upazila of the district this morning.
One of the deceased was identified as Hafizur Rahman, 40, resident of Kaliganj in
Lalmonirhat district, police said.
Gaziur Rahman, additional superintendent of police, said the accident
occurred in the area when a banana-laden Dhaka-bound truck collided head-on
with a rod-laden truck from the opposite direction around 5am, leaving three
people dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College
Hospital.
In another road accident, a woman was killed on the spot when she was
crossing the road after a bus hit her at College road area on Dhaka-Bogura
highway in Sherpur upazila of the district this morning around 5am.
The deceased woman was identified as Amena Bibi, 60, resident of Sherpur
upazila in Bogura district.
Police seized the two trucks, police said.
