Bangladesh HP in danger with 57-3 against Sri Lanka

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 4, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team was
precariously placed at 57-3 against Sri Lanka Emerging Team after the
continuous rain marred the most of the second day of the second and final
four-day match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.

The first day was washed out due to the rain without a ball being bowled.
The toss even was held on day two and the rain allowed only 23 overs of the
day.

But this was enough for the Sri Lanka to make an impact to the game.

Medium pacer Jehan Daniel was key in sparking the collapse, taking 2-10
while another pacer Mohamed Shiraz took 1-21 as Bangladesh lost three
wickets, scoring just 21 runs.

Skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Afif Hossain halted the run and held
together the innings. Shanto was batting on 26 while Afif was on 16.

The first four-day match between the two sides was drawn before the Sri
Lanka Emerging team won the three-match one-day series by 2-1.
