Youth dies in Ctg road mishap
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 3, 2019 (BSS) – A youth was killed and three others
injured as a covered van hit a pickup van in Mitachara Bazar area under
Mirsarai upazila of the district in the morning.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam, 30, assistant of
the pickup van driver who hailed from Deviddar upazila of Cumilla district.
Police said the accident took place around 6:30 am when the covered van
rammed into a stationary pickup van, injuring four people.
Locals took them to Mirsarai upazila health complex, but the attending
doctors referred Shariful Islam to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH)
where he succumbed to injuries, said Ala Uddin Talukdar, sub-inspector of
CMCH police outpost.
The injured people are undergoing treatment at health complex.
