Sri Lanka opt to bat in second T20 against New Zealand

KANDY, Sri Lanka, Sept 3, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Sri Lanka skipper Lasith
Malinga won the toss and elected to bat in the second Twenty20 international
against New Zealand in Kandy on Tuesday.

The hosts, who trail the three-match series 1-0, have made one change from
their opening loss on Sunday with Kasun Rajitha making way for Lakshan
Sandakan.

New Zealand have been forced to change their winning combination with
batsman Tom Bruce coming in for injured Ross Taylor.

Taylor picked up a left hip injury during his match-winning 48 in Kandy
but is expected to be back for the third game, according to New Zealand
Cricket.
