BAF observes death anniversary of ex-Air Chief Bashar

DHAKA, Sept 1, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) today observed the
43rd death anniversary of the former Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal
Muhammad Khademul Bashar, Bir Uttam with due solemnity.

Air Vice Marshal Bashar possessed the extraordinary dignity of commanding
the No 6 sector during the War of Liberation of Bangladesh, said an Inter
Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release here.

BAF remembered the freedom fighter for his glorious contribution to
achieving independence and building of BAF with due respect and honour.

The brave pilot died on this day in 1976 in a tragic aircraft crash.

On the occasion, milad mahfil was arranged at the mosques of all BAF
Bases. Munajat was also offered seeking divine blessings for salvation of the
departed soul and for the continued peace and prosperity of the country.

Senior BAF officers, airmen and others were present in the milad mahfil.
