Ershad’s ‘Chehlam’ in Rangpur tomorrow

RANGPUR, Aug 30, 2019 (BSS) – Jatiya Party will arrange ‘Chehlam’ and doa mahfils at 17 places here to seek eternal peace for departed soul of former President and founding chairman of the party Hussein Muhammad Ershad tomorrow.

Rangpur city unit of Jatiya Party has completed preparations for arranging the ‘Chehlam’ and doa mahfils after Zohr prayers at 12 places for 33 wards in Rangpur city and five places for five unions in Sadar upazila.

Leaders of Rangpur city unit of Jatiya Party said the main ‘Chehlam’ and doa mahfil will be arranged at ‘Palli Nibas’ residence compound in Dorshona area of the city where the former President has been laid to eternal rest.

In Rangpur city, the other 11 ‘Chehlam’ and doa mahfils will be arranged at Uttam High School ground, Khotkhotia High School ground, Mohabbatkhan Huigfh School ground, Keranirhat High School and College ground, Barobari high School ground, Lalkuthi High School and College ground, Mulatol Alia Madrasha ground, New Jummapara Primary School ground, Robertsonganj School and College ground, Mahiganj Girls’ High School ground and Taluk Tampat High School ground.

In Sadar upazila, five ‘Chehlam’ and doa mahfils will be arranged at Palichara High School ground in Saddyapuskorini union, Shahbazpur High School ground in Chandanpat union, Mominpurhat Dakhil Madrasha ground in Mominpur union, Paglapeer High School ground in Haridebpur union and Ganjipur High School ground in Kholeya union.

Talking to local reporters, Mayor of Rangpur, Presidium Member of Jatiya Party, its Rangpur city unit President Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa and General Secretary SM Yasser urged party leaders and workers and common people to participate in the ‘Chehlam’ and doa mahfils timely.
