Media urged to popularise helpline 333 at grassroots

RANGPUR, Aug 29, 2019 (BSS) – The country’s mass media could play the
most vital role in popularising the helpline call center of ‘333’ at
grassroots level for reaching government services and benefits of
digitisation to rural population.

Government officials expressed the opinion today at a press conference
titled “Mass publicity about call center ‘333’ at grassroots levels” arranged
by the district administration at its conference room.

Deputy Commissioner Md Asib Ahsan addressed the event narrating
easiness of receiving information about government services, offices,
officers and getting social problems redressed by dialing at helpline ‘333’
call center from anywhere.

“Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy launched the
helpline ‘333’ call center being run by the a2i programme on April 12, 2018
to reach services and provide quick feedback to people after receiving
complaints against social problems,” he said.

The citizens living in the country will able to know the process of
getting all government services by calling at ‘333’ while the expatriate
Bangladeshis can dial at ‘09666789333’ for receiving same services as well as
lodging complains to get quick remedies.

The DC called upon the journalists for contributing their own to making
the mass publicity programme of popularising helpline call center ‘333’ among
common people at the grassroots levels on way to build a developed digital
Bangladesh.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shukria Pervin
moderated the press conference participated by a large number of local
journalists working in the print, electronic and inline media.
