DHAKA, Aug 28, 2019 (BSS) – The Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase today
approved two proposals including one to appoint Saif Powertec Limited as the
terminal operator for handing the containers and container-laden cargos at
Chattogram Port for six years.

Briefing the reporters after the meeting held at the Cabinet Division at
Bangladesh Secretariat, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said the proposal
for appointing Saif Powertec Limited as the terminal operator at Chattogram
Port was approved as the firm was recommended and evaluated by the Technical

venture of NJS Consultants Co. Limited, and AQUA Consultant and Associates
Ltd. In association with Maxwell Stamp Limited for the consultancy services
of capacity building for sustainability with Taka 38.47 crore under the Dhaka
Water Supply Network Improvement Project.

The Finance Minister said since some 23 firms have submitted their
Expression of Interest (EOI), the concerned committee has shortlisted some
five firms and out of those the joint venture of NJS Consultants Co. Limited
and AQUA Consultant and Associates Ltd. in association with Maxwell Stamp
Limited, got the work as it secured the first place.
