BIDA launches training for 25 entrepreneurs in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Aug 28, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) today launched the month-long training course under its ‘Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Project (ESDP)’ here for 25 youth entrepreneurs in the first batch.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan inaugurated the training course under the ESDP as part of the ‘Flourishing Investment’ program, one of the ten special initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina..
Coordinator of the ESDP for Rangpur Moniruzzaman Monir presided over the launching function held at the ‘Entrepreneurship Development and Investment Assistance Center’ of Rangpur BIDA office in the city.
“The BIDA at the Prime Minister’s Office is providing the month-long training to 25 registered youth entrepreneurs in every batch under the ESDP to produce 24,000 skilled entrepreneurs with 375 entrepreneurs in every district,” Moniruzzaman in his speech said.
The entrepreneurs would earn knowledge on launching entrepreneurship, registration, taxes. VAT, export-import, management skill, opening of bank accounts, LC, loan, insurance and investment planning after completion of the training courses, BIDA sources said.
The BIDA will provide trained entrepreneurs with necessary facilities and assistance at one stop service centers on environmental certificates, quality control of products, weight and measurements, suppliers and linkage and other legal aspects.
“In addition, BIDA will provide counseling to entrepreneurs and assistance for supplying primary and middle layer raw materials to multinational and international manufacturing industries in production adopting modern technologies, “he added.
The chief guest said the youths should avail facilities being provided by the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to make them skilled in becoming successful entrepreneurs to change fortune through their own endevours.
He suggested the entrepreneurs to acquire knowledge and skill from the training to create self-employment, manage and run businesses and create newer trade ventures to add an innovative dimension and positive trend to the national economy.
