Federation Cup football to be held in December
DHAKA, Aug 26, 2019 (BSS)- The curtain riser of Federation Cup football
will be held in December.
The decision was unanimously taken at a Professional Football League
committee’s (PFLC) meeting held today at Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF)
board room with BFF Senior Vice-President and PFLC’s Chairman Abdus Salam
Murshedy in the chair.
The meeting also decided to start the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in
January next and during the league the PFLC have a plan to arrange the
Independence Cup Football.
The inter club players’ transfer activities (local and foreign) of the BPL
will be held on October 1 to November 20.
The BFF U-18 Football tournament will begin on September 12 while the
inter club players transfer formalities for the tournament, which began on
August 21, will continue till September 2.
In the meeting, the PFLC congratulated Bashundhara Kings and Abahani
Limited for becoming champions and runners-up respectively in this season of
BPL.
