YABA-ARREST-JAMALPUR
One held with 1,570 yaba tablets in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Aug 25, 2019 (BSS)- Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive
arrested a man with huge contraband yaba tablets in a border area under
Dewanganj upazila of the district yesterday.
The arrested drug peddler was identified as Nabi Alam, 38, son of Md
Akramul of Jhaudanga village in the upazila.
According to 35 battalion of Jamalpur BGB, acting on a tip-off, a team of
the BGB led by commander of Jhaudanga BOP Nayeb Subedar Md Mofizul Islam
raided the border area and arrested Nabi Alam.
Members of the team recovered 1,490 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from
his possession.
Later, the BGB team also recovered 80 pieces of yaba tablets from his
home.
A case was filed with Dewanganj Police Station in this connection.
