BSTI files 14 cases, fined Tk 28,000 in Khulna

KHULNA, August 25, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) Authorities has filed fourteen cases after conducting 10 mobile courts from different organizations’ in Khulna division for selling adulterated foods, fined Tk 28,000 and not using digital weighing machines in August 18 to 22, 2019 , said a press release issued by its Director M Abdul Mannan.

The mobile court conducted drives in ten organizations including departmental store, water and ice-cream factory in Khulna.

Director of BSTI Md Abdul Mannan said, a total of fourteen cases have been filed against shop owners for selling adulterated foods.

Meanwhile, BSTI Authorities were conducting special drive/Squad including four cases continuing in the court, Mannan added.

The anti food adulteration drives will continue, says the release.
