Memorial meeting for Ajay Baruya held
DHAKA, Aug 24, 2019 (BSS)-Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA)
on Saturday held a memorial meeting for eminent sports journalist Ajay Barua
at its office, where sports organizers, his long time colleagues and well-
wishers spoke on his activities and colourful sports life.
Baruya, a freedom fighter and the sports editor of Doinik Sangbad breathed
his last on July 12 at Saint Berts Hospital in London while covering the ICC
World Cup 2019.
BSJA former president Monjurul Haque, founder member Muhammad Kamruzzaman,
Sangbad’s acting editor Khondokar Muniruzzaman, Cricket coach Jalal Ahmed
Chowdhury, Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA)former deputy general
secretary Ishtiaque Ahmed Curren, former Table Tennis general secretary
Rafiqul Islam Tipu, BSJA president Motaher Hossain Masum, general secretary
Raihan Al Mughni gave speech on the life and sports activities of Late Ajay
Baruya.
