UK to cooperate in naval development: Envoy
DHAKA, August 22, 2019 (BSS) – British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson today paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury at his secretariat office.
During the meeting, Khalid and Dickson discussed about development of the naval sector of Bangladesh, including Chattogram and Payra ports, and dredging activities alongside the bilateral issues, said an press release issued here.
The envoy assured the state minister of extending cooperation to Dhaka regarding the development and dredging works, added the release.
Secretary of the ministry M Abdus Samad was present.
Later, Khalid visited the presidium member of Gonotontri Party, Mahmudul Haque Babu, at Dhaka National Hospital and prayed for his speedy recovery.
