SC keeps 3 judges out of trial work

DHAKA, Aug 22, 2019 (BSS) – The Supreme Court (SC) authorities decided to
keep three judges of High Court division out of trial work as allegations of
corruption were raised against them.

“Decision has been taken to keep the three honorable judges out of trial
work in the context of primary investigation and in consultation with the
Honorable President. The three judges have then applied for leave,” said
Supreme Court Special Officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman.

Though the official refrained from naming the three judges, it was learnt
that the judges are – Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury, Justice Quazi
Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque.
