DHAKA, Aug 20, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 49,859 dengue patients, who have
been admitted to different hospitals since January across the country, have
returned home after recovery.
A total of 56,369 patients were admitted to the hospitals after being
infected with the mosquito-borne disease so far, a release of Health Crisis
Management and Control Room of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)
said here today.
However, 40 people have died from the disease till now.
A total of 6,870 patients are currently undergoing treatment at different
hospitals and clinics across the country. Among them, 3,413 patients are
taking treatment across Dhaka division while 3,413 are hospitalised outside
of the capital.
A total of 1,572 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals
in the last 24 hours across the country, the release added.
