Marking the day, Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Saida Muna Tasneem distributed foods among elderly and homeless people at ‘Sonali Garden Centre and Day Care Centre’ in London, said a press release here.

The Mourning Day’s other programmes included hoisting of national flag at half-mast at the High Commission, reading out of messages, placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, and doa mahfil and discussion at Brady Arts and Community Centre in East London.

The Bangladesh High Commission for the first time arranged such programme on the National Mourning Day in East London.
