BFF announces 25-memebr preliminary squad

DHAKA, Aug 16, 2019 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today released a 25-member preliminary squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 1′ against Afghanistan.

Bangladesh will play their first match against the war-torn nation
Afghanistan scheduled to be held on September 10 in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

Bangladesh will play their second match against Qatar at the Bangabandhu
National Stadium in Dhaka on October 10 before playing against India on
October 15 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed
Dushanbe, as the home venue for Afghanistan, ending speculation regarding the
venue for Bangladesh’s first match against Afghanistan.

Twenty five members preliminary squad are Ashraful Islam Rana, Shahidul
Alam and Anisur Rahman (custodian), Tutul Hosain Badsha, Sushanto Tripura,
Rahmat Mia, SM Monjurur Rahman, Yeasin Khan, Biswanath Ghosh, Riyadul Hahan,
Nurul Naium Faisal and Yeasin Arafat (defender), Mashuk Miah Zoni, Jamal
Bhuiyan, Mamunul Islam Mamun, Sohel Rana, Mohammad Rabiul Hasan, Biplob
Ahmed, Mohammad Arifur Rahman and Mohammad Ibrahim (mid fielder), Mohammad
Nabib Newaz Ziban, Mahbubur Rahman, Matin Miah, Saad Uddin and Jewel Rana
(forward).
