DHAKA, Aug 15, 2019 (BSS) – Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC)
Md Atiqul Islam paid rich tributes to the family members of Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at their Banani
graveyard here this morning, marking the National Mourning Day.
He also offered doa and munajat there seeking eternal peace of the departed
souls of the family member of the Bangabandhu, who were brutally killed by
some disgruntled army men on the dreadful night of August 15, 1975, a press
release said.
On the occasion of Bangabandhu’s 44rd martyrdom anniversary, all the
officials and employs of DNCC also paid homage to the architect of the
independence by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of
Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 this morning.
