PM mourns death of Rabeya Khatun
DHAKA, August 7, 2019 (BSS)-Rabeya Khatun, mother of Institution of
Engineers’ Bangladesh (IEB) President and Awami League’s science and
technology affairs secretary Engineer Md Abdus Sabur, died at a city hospital
this afternoon at the age of 77.
She left behind four sons, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-
wishers to mourn her death.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound
shock and sorrow at the death of Rabeya Khatun.
In a condolence message, Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul of Rabeya Khatun and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
AL general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul
Quader expressed deep shock at the death of Rabeya Khatun.
IEB general secretary Engineer Khandker Manzur Morshed on behalf of the
IEB’s central council expressed deep shock at the death of Rabeya Khatun.
He prayed for peace of the departed soul of Rabeya Khatun and conveyed
sympathy to members of the bereaved family.
