HABIGANJ, Aug 06, 2019 (BSS) – Two children drowned in ponds in two separate places under Nabiganj upazila of the district today.
Local people said a three-year-old girl named Tamanna drowned in a pond adjacent to their house at Jantori village around 8 am when she was playing.
Family members found her floating body and sent it to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared Tamanna dead.
Besides, another minor boy named Abdur Rahman , 02, drowned in another pond at Dattogram village in the upazila. He was taken to the Upazila Health
Complex, but the duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Nabiganj Thana Iqbal Hossain confirmed it.
