Home minister off to Delhi
DHAKA, Aug 6, 2019 (BSS)- A 16-member Bangladesh delegation led by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal left here today for New Delhi to attend the 7th Bangladesh-India home-minister level talks, according to a home ministry press release.
The Bangladesh delegation reached Indira Ghandhi International Airport at 4.30 pm (local time) on a three-day official visit.
Different bilateral issues including trans-border security, cross border trafficking and border management issues are expected to come up for discussion during the talks which will begin at 4pm tomorrow.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and his Indian counterpart Amit Shah will lead their respective sides at the talks, according to the home ministry officials.
The Bangladesh home minister is scheduled to return home on August 8.
The 6th round of home minister-level talks was held in Dhaka in October last year when Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh led the Indian side.
