Agreement signed for developing “mujib100” website

DHAKA, Aug 5, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and renowned agency Mighty Byte today signed an agreement to develop a website named www.mujib100.gov.bd on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

BCC secretary Mizanur Rahman Miju and Mighty Byte managing director Sarah Ali signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division’s conference room at Agragaon here, said an official release.

The ICT division has also arranged a competition for preparing an attractive logo for the website. Anyone can participate in the competition by submitting their ideas by August 31, the release added.

Speaking on the occasion, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, said though the anti-liberation forces assassinated Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, in 1975, they could not destroy his ideology.

“The Mujib100 website will be one of the main features in celebration of ‘Mujib Year’, as it will provide detailed information on the life and works of Bangabandhu and programmes undertaken to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation,” the state minister added.

ICT division secretary NM Ziaul Alam and high officials concerned, among others, were also present on the occasion.
